All wannabe dictators go down this path plus he's trying to intimidate the judiciary and the press. I don't think that he will succeed but it's going to be very nasty. Right now he is trying to suborn the military which is particularly bad news as so many members of the military incline to MAGA.

The legislature has been cowed, and we cannot rely on the Supreme Court to uphold the Constitution and if enough of the military breaks its oath to the constitution we are done for.
