As usual Carlyn an interesting and perceptive article. As we have previously discussed a major problem with dating in the US is that it has become pretty much transactional. Few people seem to try to structure dates just for fun and so much of the interaction seems to boil down to a negotiation for something whether that be sex or even love and romance.

I was intrigued by your reference to a decrease in sex between 2009-2018. During that period (age 54-63) I had the best and most varied sexual experiences of my life with women ranging in age from 24-70. So, I seem to be more fortunate than the people in the study you cite.
