Back in the 80s I knew a Qatari who had jobs with three different Government ministries in Qatar and lived in London. In those days before the Government computer system was centralized he could get away with this. Every month his three salaries were paid by direct deposit to his Qatari bank account and standing orders swept the account and credited his account in London.

Also the sister of a Kuwaiti friend of mine graduated from film school and got a job with Kuwait television. She had high hopes of producing shows and when they wouldn't let her do anything she quit. He said to her. 'What did you do that for? Go get your job back. Don't go to work and make films on the side. They'll still pay you.' So she did. And they paid her and she never went back to work.
