Banksy is certainly one of the best and most creative modern artists. So much modern art in my opinion is 'The Emperor's New Clothes'. In this respect it is only art to the extent that the artist can convince the observer that it is art. I put Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin in this category but the king in this regard and my favorite is Christo. The fact that he was able to talk various governments such as Germany and France into letting him wrap their monuments or buildings in cloth is the absolute triumph of promotion as 'art'.

Glasgow is great by the way. I hope you got to spend a bit of time there.
