Having worked in Hollywood, none of these responses from a script writer are all that farfetched.

I had one who in response to my script ofr the Battle of Britain wanted to see one of the downed German pilots making more of an effort to get back to his own country. I assume that the under educated LA based reader was unaware that Great Britain is an island and that the suggestion was both ignorant and ludicrous.
