Unfortunately, the US system is so debased that it mostly turns out semi-literate persons incapable of intellectual thought.

I'm sure that you are familiar with McGuffey's Readers. My grandmother had an 8th grade education in 1910 which was probably better than some four year colleges today as she could at least write coherent and correct English.

I hadn't considered the issue of keeping one's students happy so that they would donate as a alumni. LOL

By the way you might want to check the link to your website under your About tab. When I clicked on it I got a 404 error. To reach it I had to type the address into the bar at the top of the page.
