I see that you highlighted 'The abomination of desolation'. That is a reference to an incident when the second Caliph Umar ibn AlKhattab went to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and the Patriarch muttered to one of his aides, "The abomination of desolation standeth in the Holy place". He was referencing a prophecy in the Book of Daniel and thought that the Arab conquest of Jerusalem was the fulfillment of that prophecy. The unshod hooves are of course the Arabs horses.
