It was an interesting affair. I was stuck in Bahrain under a travel ban while the Central Bank investigated various allegations made about possible irregularities u=in the bank of which I was the CEO which was owned by a Saudi family. I was under a lot of stress and tension and my wife suggested that I should have a younger English woman that I knew come put to keep me company. My wife and our sons were in California at the time. The woman in question and I spent ten months running amok, partying and drinking all against the backdrop of a potential prosecution of me by the Bahraini authorities in what would have been a kangaroo court.
The director Zalman King wanted to make a film of the book but unfortunately passed away before he could get to work on the project. That was a real pity. I can't think of anyone else who has written a memoir of this nature.
