I've read Common Sense and The Rights of Man but was unaware of Paine's views on slavery.

The section that I highlighted:

Many educated women in Kuwait thought that it was best that women not be given the vote as they expected lower class women and Bedouin women to vote as their husbands told them which would have resulted in a large increase in fundamentalist representation in the parliament.

Finally, you have a typo in the sentence that begins; "Nothing that several Liverpool ships...
