I'm glad that you managed to avoid this scam. I have seen numerous scams coming out of Nigeria. Most of them are so obvious and still people fall for them. We all want things in life and can be vulnerable. These people that do this are shits and prey on our hopes, desires, fears and sometimes our greed. You should always have your guard up. As a rule of thumb, it takes about two years of interacting with someone before you can really start to get to know them, and that's in person and not online!
