I'd like to comment on part 4 of your post. If one is able to take this beyond imagining it can add a further frisson and excitement to an open relationship. For example, because of Covid I've been stuck in Sri Lanka for the last nine months. One of my girlfriends is in the DC area. Given the time difference we've decided that she can have a date on a Saturday night while I'm having one on a Sunday morning. That way we can both be having sex at the same time and can share the experience with one another afterwards. It's a variation on a theme but we're trying to be creative and this scenario allows us to both imagine the other person's pleasure while enjoying actual physical pleasure simultaneously.
