Unfortunately, there seems to be a fairly universal reactionary backlash against all kinds of sexual freedoms in the Western world these days. However, as seems usual with these puritans their ideas about sex, in this case prostitution are informed by lurid fantasies. Plus ca change.

One small legalistic point that bothers me whenever I hear the expression 'selling sex' or hear it described that women 'sell' their bodies, which is grossly inaccurate as prostitution is a contract of usufruct not sale.
