What happens everyday in Iceland is that somebody ends up fucking one of their cousins as everybody in the entire country is related to one another. It's hard to tell because no one has last names in Iceland. Everyone has a first name and a patronymic. They even developed an app so you can figure out how closely or distantly related you are when you are trying to pick someone up in a bar.
It's called
The Islendiga-App, also known as the Íslendinga-App, is a mobile app that checks if your potential romantic partner is a distant relative before any other steps are taken. It was created by a company called Sad Engineers Studios using the online genealogy database comprised of more than 720,000 Icelanders1. The app lets users "bump" phones with their date, and emits a warning alarm if they are closely related.
